BiYinSou: Hover-Preview Search Results, Browse Side by Side

Did you know that the Edge browser’s sidebar can now expand search? It lets you carry out lightweight searches without affecting the current page.

This feature has been well received by many users, and today Lizhi is introducing another extension, “Bi Yin Search”, which offers a similar experience:

Preview search results instantly in the sidebar without switching to a new tab!

You can now visit the extension store to install it and experience the convenience of searching and browsing at the same time~

After installing the extension, on any search results page (supporting Baidu, Google and Bing), simply move your mouse over a title to preview the search result directly on the right side of your browser.

The sidebar appears as a floating panel. When you browse to the next page, it directly covers the previous one, making real-time previews quick and convenient. When you no longer need it, you can collapse or close it.

Previously, viewing search results meant opening and closing links one by one. Now you can preview pages first, saving you a fair amount of effort and making it more suitable for quickly browsing search results.

If you like split-screen browsing, you can skip the step of opening a tab and then splitting the screen, allowing you to search and browse at the same time with ease.

Some preview pages also support scrolling and clicking like a normal webpage, and media content can be played normally as well.

However, some pages currently cannot be previewed, and the interface’s adaptive behaviour is not yet perfect.

For everyone’s convenience when installing locally, we have prepared the extension’s crx installation file. Once you have the file ready, follow the instructions below to open the browser’s extensions page, enable Developer mode, and drag and drop the file into the browser to complete the installation.
